Dear HIM Team:
You are the very core and heart of HIM. That’s why I am sincerely asking for your
help with obtaining ministry testimonies from you and those within your network.
Testimonies are the lifeline of those supporting HIM because they bring the reality of what God is doing through us and your teams to those who give. Without regular encouragement, the vision is lost. Along with it, funding evaporates. This impacts every area of the world where we are working, and every dollar you need in the field.
There is a simple solution. I know that as a fellow minister, we are often so consumed with doing the ministry that we can forget about communicating the results from the field or after our trips or experiences.
We are not only losing results financially, but we are also losing legacy. God is building a history and a legacy through what He has done and is doing. The only way this is passed on is through valuing and sharing the testimony.
Moreover, we deny others their own miracle or life change when they don’t know the testimony. Bill Johnson gave great insight when he shared the verse, “The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy.” He declared that a testimony carries with it the prophetic power to bring the same thing to pass once again in the lives of those who hear it.
I believe that the single letter I share monthly with our HIM supporters is more than
a “newsletter.” It has never been meant to merely share statistics or an appeal for ongoing donations. Rather, I believe it is the key point of contact that most people have for
understanding the scope and work of HIM, and joining with our corporate heart.
This letter is the mechanism through which a person can feel connected and “own” the vision that God has given you and me. The bottom line is that it becomes the key monthly motivator for people to give to HIM as the Holy Spirit breathes on it.
For that reason, I am resuming our HIM policy that those receiving support dollars provide us with a monthly newsletter of testimonies related to their ministries.
They do not have to be written “bestsellers,” but easily detailed and descriptive accounts. I’ve attached some helpful information to make this easy for you.
Please allow God to speak to your hearts about this very important matter.
I look forward to reading and sharing all that God has done… for His glory and for
all of our continued labors in HIM.
In His love,
