HARVEST ROCK
CHURCH PLANTING SCHOOL

The Harvest Rock Church Planting School is a nine-month leadership development program designed to equip and prepare men and women to plant healthy, Spirit-empowered, and multiplying churches. Through biblical teaching, practical ministry training, coaching, and hands-on application, students will develop the knowledge, character, and skills necessary to launch and lead a thriving local church.

The Harvest Rock Church Planting School is in partnership with Wagner University, Pasadena, CA. Wagner University administrates the curriculum, transcripts, issues Certificates of Completion, and curates the student experience. 

This program is designed for:

• Individuals who sense a call to plant a church.
• Current pastors seeking additional church planting training.
• Ministry leaders preparing to launch a new church campus or congregation.
• Ministry teams who desire to plant together.
• Leaders seeking apostolic leadership development and practical ministry experience.

The inaugural cohort begins October 14, 2026. Orientation is September 28 at 6PM.

The program lasts nine months.

Students complete nine courses, each taught over four weeks, along with coaching, ministry activations, and practical church planting assignments.

Classes are taught in a cohort format consisting of approximately 10–15 students. Learning includes:

• Interactive classroom instruction

• Practical assignments
• Leadership coaching

The Harvest Rock Church Planting School has in-person and online cohort options to meet every students learning preference. 

Some ministry activities and outreach assignments may occur outside the classroom.

Students will graduate with a comprehensive church planting plan that is ready to implement.

Tuition is $5,000 for the complete nine-month program.

This includes classroom instruction, coaching, course materials, ministry labs, and practical training.

Students can pay monthly as an option.

Scholarships are available for qualified applicants, particularly those called to serve:

• Inner-city communities
• Immigrant communities
• Under-resourced ministry contexts
• Strategic church planting locations

Scholarships may be awarded as full or partial tuition assistance. Please inquire with the Wagner University Admissions Officer.

Previous pastoral experience is helpful but not required.

• An interview with the Harvest Rock Church Planting School leadership team

Yes.

Every student will receive coaching throughout the program, and graduates will continue to receive monthly coaching after launching their church to encourage healthy leadership, accountability, and sustainable growth. The Coaching format is a monthly group meeting on Zoom. Individualized coaching is available as needed.

Our goal is not simply to educate church planters but to develop healthy leaders who plant churches that make disciples, strengthen communities, and multiply future leaders.

Some students will enter with a clear church planting vision, while others will develop their strategy during the program. By graduation, every student will have a comprehensive church planting plan.

Students are expected to:

• Attend all classes, unless excused 
• Complete weekly assignments
• Participate in ministry activations
• Engage in outreach and evangelism 
• Maintain a consistent devotional life
• Demonstrate integrity, humility, and teachability
• Participate fully in coaching relationships

Yes.

Students who successfully complete all program requirements will receive a Certificate in Church Planting from the Harvest Rock Church Planting School in conjunction with Wagner University.

Graduates become part of the Harvest Rock Church Planting School alumni network and receive continued coaching, encouragement, and leadership development. Qualified graduates may also have opportunities to receive support, mentorship, and collaboration as they plant and lead churches.

While the curriculum reflects the values, theology, and ministry philosophy of Harvest Rock, the biblical principles taught are applicable to a variety of church planting contexts. Students who align with the school's mission and doctrinal commitments are welcome to apply. However, our main purpose in training church planters is to multiply Harvest Rock branded churches.
